This morning at 5.30am I head this loud barking/yelling outside my window. I grabbed my camera and sure enough the fox we had spyed a couple days ago, was back, jumped up on the big rock in the back yard, and let lose. She went around the back and as I followed her thru the house I passed the guest room, and K. came out holding her camera as well. I think she got few seconds of video of the creature vocalizing. This is the first fox I have seen here and it feels good to know they are around.
The sound was like anything I'd ever heard. My sister in law, who fortunately got a 3 second video of the fox vocalizing which I'll post soon, said it sounded like a two year old child yelling " no no no no no no no." To me it sounded like a bark/scream/yell. Very hard to describe. I think she was calling to another fox cause she kept facing the same way and making that call. I took the photo thru my bedroom window which was closed, before I was even awake. I'm so pleased that the photo turned out as well as it did. Divine cooperation, I'd say. What a blessing for me to have seen this. Fills me.

K. and her daughters have been here helping me for a few days, cooking, shopping, driving. We went to Hammonassett one day to lie in the sun when the temps were high, then K. and ICat and Seven in the sling climbed the Tower Trail at Sleeping Giant while I went to physical therapy on another day, and yesterday we went out to Rob's so ICat could climb the interesting rocks on his property. Rob had a drawf lilac tree on his property and he let me pluck some branches with some buds that still had not opened. Seven is all smiles and joy, and was very loveingly attended to by all. ICat spent lots of time on the computer chatting with her friends back home.
